Class Structure

Our 55 minute Monday and Wednesday evening mat classes are held from 5:15pm – 6:10pm and from 6:15pm – 7:10pm over 6 weeks to ensure motivation and progression.

We also offer 45 minute lunchtime express mat classes on Tuesday and Thursdays from 12pm – 12:45pm.

COST: Up front payment and registration is required prior to attending each class.

Casual attendance is available at any of our classes – prices are listed in our booking system.  For payment, bookings and class package options click here 

What to bring

Please bring a towel and a thick mat to class.  Pilates mats are quite spongey, and are also quite long – if you are keen on purchasing a mat, these are available at most sporting outlets or online.

In conjunction with your class (or classes) with Pilates Tasmania, we recommend you adopt a 10 or 15 minute DAILY Pilates workout at home through our CORE Online program,.  This doesn’t have to be strenuous or difficult – remember the most effective Pilates exercises are those which are completed with precision and practice.  A few repetitions of 4 or 5 Pilates exercises a day will bring you TREMENDOUS results and we have created a library of exercises designed specifically for you! Join our CORE online platform and access unlimited online classes, 24×7. Workout any time, anywhere!

Venues

Albuera Street Primary
Beginner/Moderate/Intermediate level classes

Our 55 minute Monday and Wednesday evening mat classes at Albuera Street Primary are held from 6:15pm – 7:10pm over 6 weeks to ensure motivation and progression. COST: Up front payment is required prior to attending the first session, you can choose to attend once or twice per week or purchase a monthly package to access a range of classes per week.

Best access to the school is from Byron Street, (not Albuera Street).  Drive in through the school gates from Byron street and park in the school grounds, then walk around the back of the school (Byron Street side) to a smaller yard and the hall is on the left, up a small set of stairs and the door will be left open or ajar with light on.

Battery Point Community Hall, Sandy Bay
Beginner/Moderate/Intermediate level classes

Our 55 minute Monday evening mat classes at Battery Point Community Hall are held from 5:15pm – 6:10pm over 6 weeks to ensure motivation and progression. COST: Up front payment is required prior to attending the first session, you can choose to attend once or twice per week or purchase a monthly package to access a range of classes per week.

The hall is located on Hampden Road, adjacent to Da Angelo restaurant.

Pre-exercise screening and consent form

We require that all members complete, sign and return the ‘pre-exercise screening and consent form’ prior to commencing mat classes with us.  Forms can be handed to us in person or via email and you can download a copy of the form here.

Policies and Guidelines

We require that all members ensure they are familiar with our policies and guidelines, including cancellations.

Studio Pilates Classes

Both Ella and Mary have established Pilates studios within their own homes in Battery Point and Sandy Bay. Equipped with all the essential Pilates apparatus, these studios are perfect for private or small group sessions (2-3 participants).
